Standing behind a waterfall, watching the droplets majestically float down right before your eyes. Have the feelings that you are inside the earth, inside a chamber watching the raw power of mother nature from the inside out. This will happen within the heart of Kiki Waterfall in the Ngäbe-Buglé region, Chiriqui.
The itinerary
In the morning we pick you up in your hotel in Boquete to make the 45-minute drive to the nearby town of David. From there we continue into the Ngäbe-Buglé region for another hour or so. The drive is quite scenic as we cruise through the hill regions of Chiriqui. The waterfall is located in the community of Cerro Banco, within the El Kiki forest reserve and it is considered the highest at the national level with an altitude of approximately 112 meters of free fall.
When entering the reserve we meet with our indigenous guide and continue driving on a 4×4 vehicle to reach the start of the path. We start hiking for about 2 km to arrive behind the waterfalls, creating an amazing effect. Almost impossible to have this experience in other waterfalls, which gives it a unique feeling of freedom. Above the fall there is an ideal cave to observe the impressive formation of water from inside or swim in the small lake while touching with your hands the different rainbows formed by the water particles and the rays of the sun.
Back to your hotel in Boquete around 4 PM. Typical lunch is included with snacks during the tour.
