Na, bede nued guddi? (Hi, how are you doing?) Are you ready to brush up on your Kula language? If you come with us on this tour in San Blas you might need it. This famous archipelago is actually an autonomous territory of the Guna Yala indigenous community and most of the people do not even speak Spanish, forget about English. A trip to San Blas is actually an adventure to a real paradise on earth, far away from the gentrification and “party on the beach” kind of activity. Come, enjoy, relax.

The itinerary

We come to pick you up at your hotel between 5:00 and 5:30 AM with a 4×4 vehicle authorized by the Guna authorities with 6 passenger seats. The car trip will last  2 hours and 30 minutes to Nusagandi (the customs border with Guna Yala region). Here we stop to check original passports (copies are not accepted) and pay the entrance fee of USD 20.00 per person (just cash is accepted). We arrive at the pier in San Blas, cash payment of shipping tax of USD 2.00 per person and we wait for the time to board the launch boat. Departure in direction to the Lemon Cay area, a group of small islands in the Caribbean of Panama, about 40 minutes by boat from the mainland.

On this amazing tour we have the opportunity to get off the boat and walk in the natural pools, ancient submerged islands full of starfish, land on some islands to swim or snorkel in the crystal turquoise sea with proliferating coral reefs, explore the island surrounded of palm trees and walking on fine white sand. Lunch (seafood) in a typical and basic restaurant in contact with the culture of the Guna indigenous people in which many ancient traditions persist.

Return to the mainland around 3:00 PM, arrive at the pier, pick up and transfer to the hotel. Estimated arrival at hotel: 6:30/7:00 PM
