A pleasant walk in San Josè is just what you need to be introduced to the city and its historical heritage! This is not all, we tailor it to show you the “usual spots” but also to give you suggestions on where you can enjoy yourself and buy something to remember your trip in Costa Rica. Moreover is a gate to introduce you to our guides in San Josè, a city that is usually considered a “touch and go” but from where we offer some unique experiences to see the best that Costa Rica can offer and some hidden gems that you probably never hear about.
The itinerery
Let’s start with the lobby of the National Theater, an icon of the city, then continue with the Metropolitan Cathedral and the central market, which is the oldest market in Costa Rica (1880) where you can find everything, without excluding many culinary specialties; we then move on to the Chieton-Moren market, a museum-market dedicated to the pre-Columbian cultures of the country (closed on weekends). Our tour also includes the Rafael Angel Calderon Guardia Museum, the National Monument and the Democracy Square.
We don’t forget the Escalante district, the coolest place in the city, with the newest bars, restaurants and clubs, where the country’s avant-garde trends are born.
We arrive here at lunch time so we will advise you on the best spots to dine here, sipping a cold drink all together (not included).
