If it roars like a tiger, it might just be a tigrillo! Commonly known as the tiger cat, it is small, cute and lethal. Lives in the jungle of Central America, like the cloud forest on the Volcano Mombacho that you could visit with this tour. We bring you on the Tigrillo path, a strong but short route, that will take you to amazing belvederes above the surrounding area. From the top of the Volcano you can see Granada and its Islets on the vast Lake Nicaragua. A moment of contemplation for the one that reaches the top and maybe you can choose your next tour with us. The itinerary
Transfer to the base of the Mombacho Volcano – 1,400 mts. above sea level, extinguished a long time ago – for an excursion (approx. 2 hours and 30 min.) among its crater, covered by the dense vegetation of the humid forest, habitat of 150 species of mammals, 50 species of birds, 30 species of reptiles or amphibians and 750 different species of flora. There are several endemic species that are part of the fauna of the volcano: the salamander of the Mombacho is one of the most representative, only in this place of the world you can find this small salamander!
A funny tourist truck will take you to the top to begin the excursion.
Two km trail will offer you the opportunity to walk in the cloud forest of the Pacific of Nicaragua and to get to know this natural Paradise. Along the way there are several viewpoints from which you will enjoy a spectacular view over the Nicaragua lake.
Optional activity, not included: canopy, crossing the tropical forest: (2 km, 300 mts-11 platforms-2 hanging bridges)
Return to Managua.
