The itinerary

Discover the Waterfall

The waterfall is located in the community of Cerro Banco, within the El Kiki forest reserve, and is considered the highest in the country with an altitude of approximately 112 meters of free fall. Upon entering the reserve, we meet our indigenous guide and continue driving in a 4×4 vehicle to reach the start of the path. We begin hiking for about 2 km to arrive behind the waterfalls, creating an amazing effect. It’s almost impossible to have this experience with other waterfalls, which gives it a unique feeling of freedom. Above the fall, there is an ideal cave to observe the impressive formation of water from inside or swim in the small lake while touching the different rainbows formed by the water particles and the rays of the sun.

Return to Mro Cafe

The tour continues to uncover all the secrets of the grandmothers and their ancestral knowledge by inviting you to the purification cocoa rite, the imposition of a Ngabere name, and sharing stories linked to therapeutic practices and traditional natural medicine. This experience fills us with knowledge and strengthens our spirit. It is suitable for those who are aware that there is a different way to live and want to learn the ancient customs, legends, and myths of the Ngäbe indigenous people. The typical lunch offered is made with organic vegetables strictly from nearby fields, ensuring you enjoy food without any additives. Available souvenirs to help the community and to become memories of your visit include a Krä (pocket or suitcase), dresses, beads, hats, and multicolored bands for your hair.
