The itinerary
Transfer to the nearby Province of Heredia, known as the “land of flowers,” where we explore the village of Barva de Heredia, steeped in culture, folklore, and tradition. Our first stop is at the Museum of Popular Culture, which aims to strengthen the University-Costa Rican Society link and showcases the country’s rich traditions.
Next, we visit Heredia’s municipal market, a Costa Rican institution founded in 1889. Here, we indulge in a variety of colorful tropical fruits sourced from different regions of the country.
Following our market experience, “Heredia’s aunt” warmly welcomes us into her home, where we share convivial moments and learn to prepare some typical dishes together.
We return to San José at the end of our enriching day.
