Free men and women will always cherish the sea! The sea is like a mirror where  you contemplate your soul in the infinite unrolling of its waves. Get ready to experience the depth of the bluests sea in one of the world’s most unforgettable places: the Coiba National Park. This islands’ archipelago – UNESCO World Heritage Site – captures the perfect blend of sand, sea, and pristine wilderness. Get close to the sea life in the crystal clear waters surrounding the islands while exploring the lush wildlife-rich Jungles of the Islands. The colors of Coiba are the same that make dreams.

The itinerary

We meet at 7:15 am at a meeting point at Santa Catalina public beach with other participants, usually max 8 people for each fast boat. We first check the snorkeling equipment and we need to pay the park fee (cash payment U$ 20.00 per person). We departed for Coiba National Park, an archipelago declared Unesco heritage since 2005. During the trip by boat of about 75 minutes, it is easy to see dolphins or whales during migration period, before to reach Isla Granito de Oro for the first snorkeling activity in the magnificent coral reef on which the instructor-guide (Spanish and English) will explain in detail the direction of the current and tips to avoid damaging the environment. The tour continues to Isla Rancheria, also called Coibita due to its size, for a second snorkeling activity and admire the rich marine life of the surrounding seabed with the diving mask or decide whether to stop at the extensive white beach to relax. The tour ends at the visitor center controlled by ANAM, a local environmental authority, located in the far south of Coiba’s island. Break time for lunch under a private gazebo on the beach. Time available on the beach for swimming and relaxation or for a short exploration of the surrounding wilderness. Depending on the day, the tour could have changes in the route, due to sea and weather conditions, and head to other smaller islands of the national park such as Canal de Afuera and Isla Coco to complete the visit of the archipelago. By 3:00 pm, return to Santa Catalina to arrive around 4:15 pm.
