Money Heist in San Blas

Full-day tour to visit the island of San Blas, where scenes from "The Money Heist" were filmed. Daily departures from Panama City.

Have you ever thought about robbing a bank? What would you do with all that money when the police are chasing you down and Interpol has a picture of you in their lounge? Rio and Tokyo, the famous characters from the even more famous “Money Heist” (known as “La Casa de Papel” in Spanish), chose to find refuge in Panama, specifically on Pelicano Island, one of the smaller islands of the San Blas Archipelago. How romantic and smart to choose this small corner of paradise to get away from everything. Want to visit? Join us!

The itinerary

We will pick you up at your hotel between 5:00 and 5:30 AM with a 4×4 vehicle authorized by the Guna authorities with 6 passenger seats. The car trip will last 2 hours and 30 minutes to Nusagandi (the customs border with the Guna Yala region). Here we will stop to check original passports (copies are not accepted) and pay the entrance fee of USD 20.00 per person (cash only). We will then arrive at the pier in San Blas, where we will pay a shipping tax of USD 2.00 per person and wait for the time to board the launch boat. Departure will be towards the Lemon Cay area, a group of small islands in the Caribbean of Panama, about 40 minutes by boat from the mainland.

This tour allows you to relive the emotions of Tokyo and Rio, who sought refuge on Isla Pelicano in San Blas to avoid capture after the events depicted in the famous television series that has achieved resounding success worldwide. Tour participants will have the opportunity to wear the same Salvador Dali masks used by the actors to take amusing photos on this island, chosen by the production for its small size and incomparable beauty. The indigenous name of the island is Ucubsui, which was inaccessible to the public for several years to protect the beach from erosion caused by the visits of numerous boats landing there daily. Currently, visits are limited to a few visitors who will be accompanied by local guide Marceliano, who entertains guests during the tour, including the visit to the natural pools that enrich the San Blas experience. An indigenous family will prepare a typical dish based on fresh fish while you relax on the white beach or swim in the magnificent coral reef. Lunch will be served at tables surrounded by large palm leaves, adding simplicity to the environment and giving visitors the chance to experience an unforgettable day. Don’t miss this unique opportunity—book the tour with us!

Return to the mainland around 3:00 PM, arrive at the pier, and then transfer back to your hotel. Estimated arrival at the hotel: 6:30/7:00 PM.
