Poas Volcano
Experience the breathtaking vista of Poas Volcano while exploring the diverse flora, fauna, and cascading waterfalls at La Paz Gardens.
Here’s your chance to visit a volcano that erupted as recently as 2017. Come remarkably close to this highly active crater and its picturesque lagoon nestled beside 7,540-year-old lava. Witness dramatic plumes of smoke often billowing from the crater, though sometimes reaching the summit might offer limited visibility. The volcano’s peak is cold and shrouded in clouds, evoking a feeling of entering another realm entirely. Protective helmets are required due to the volcanic activity underfoot. If this doesn’t daunt you, then you’re ready to join us on this tour without hesitation.
