The itinerary

We meet at 7:15 am at Santa Catalina public beach for this small group tour (usually max 8 people per fast boat). After checking snorkeling equipment, we proceed to pay the park fee (cash payment of $20.00 per person). Departure to Coiba National Park, a UNESCO heritage site since 2005. During the approximately 75-minute boat ride, keep an eye out for dolphins or whales during their migration periods. Our first stop is Isla Granito de Oro for the initial snorkeling activity in its magnificent coral reef. Our instructor-guide (fluent in Spanish and English) will provide detailed directions regarding current directions and tips to protect the environment. Next, we head to Isla Rancheria, also known as Coibita due to its size, for a second snorkeling session to admire the rich marine life. Alternatively, you can relax on its extensive white beach. The tour concludes at the ANAM visitor center, a local environmental authority located on the southern tip of Coiba Island. Enjoy lunch under a private gazebo on the beach, followed by leisure time for swimming, relaxation, or a brief exploration of the surrounding wilderness. Depending on the day and sea conditions, the itinerary may include visits to other smaller islands of the park, such as Canal de Afuera and Isla Coco, to complete the archipelago tour. Return to Santa Catalina by 3:00 pm, arriving around 4:15 pm.
