The itinerery

Upon your arrival at Tocumen International Airport, you will pass through immigration and customs formalities. Look out for our local private driver who will be holding a sign with your name. They will transfer you to Panama City where you will meet a representative from our tourism agency. This initial meeting will include a warm welcome and a detailed discussion of your travel plans. After this, you will spend your first night in Panama City.

The following day, you will depart early for San Blas, Guna Yala. Check out of your hotel room at 5:00 am and wait for an authorized 4×4 vehicle, which seats six passengers and is approved by the Guna government for collective transport with other tourists. The vehicle may take up to 30 minutes to arrive, as it picks up other passengers. Due to limited space, it is recommended to bring only a backpack or soft bag with essentials such as beachwear, a light sweatshirt, a towel, personal care items, repellent, and sunscreen. You can leave the rest of your luggage at the hotel storage, where it will be safe until your return.

During the journey, there will be a stop at km 18 for passport control (original passports are required) at the border of the Guna Yala region. Here, you will also need to pay an entrance fee of USD 20.00 per person. Upon arrival at the boat terminal, there is a shipping tax of USD 2.00 per person. After a short waiting period for the fast boat, you will embark on a 15 to 60-minute boat ride, depending on your island destination and weather conditions. The travel arrangements to reach the islands may be uncomfortable for some, so patience and tolerance are advised.

Once you arrive on the island, you will be greeted by a breathtaking view, ideal for those who love pristine seas and adventure. You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture of the Guna Indians, the island’s only inhabitants, who maintain many ancient traditions.

During your stay, you can relax on the beach, swim, snorkel, take walks, and enjoy boat trips around Cayo Limon according to the program provided by the island managers. If you wish to visit other islands, there is an additional fee of USD 3.00 per person. You will spend the night on the island, fully immersed in the Guna lifestyle.

On the final day, you will check out of your accommodation at 9:00 am. If there are no new arrivals, you may keep your accommodation until the afternoon. Enjoy your last half day in San Blas before returning by boat to the mainland around 2:00 pm. Your assigned 4×4 vehicle will then take you back to your hotel in Panama City, where you will spend another night.

The following day, you can enjoy a city tour in Panama City with a 24-hour ticket included for a sightseeing bus. Departure is from the closest bus stop to your hotel, and you will travel on a characteristic red double-decker bus, visiting major attractions like the Panama Canal at the Miraflores locks, the Causeway with the Bio Museum designed by Frank Gehry, and the historic Casco Viejo with its colonial architecture. The daily ticket includes unlimited rides with stops approximately every 60 minutes from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Please note that the bus ticket does not include entrance fees to attractions.

On your final day in Panama City, check out of your hotel at 12:00 pm. A left luggage service is available, allowing you to enjoy a last tour of the city or some shopping before your private transfer to Tocumen International Airport for your return flight.
