MY FAVOURITE DESIGNS

Balmaceda
and Handcaves
CHILE AND ARGENTINA
I truly loved designing this trip — it was a real adventure! A rare border crossing between Chile and Argentina led the travellers to one of the most remote and fascinating places I’ve ever included in an itinerary: the ancient Hand Caves, hidden deep in Patagonia’s wild landscapes.

Atacama and
Salar de Uyuni
CHILE AND BOLIVIA
I love approaching Latin America by regions rather than countries, and this itinerary is among my favorites — a breathtaking journey into one of the world’s driest, most untamed, and awe-inspiring landscapes, where every step feels like crossing into another realm.

Pantanal and Amazon extravaganza
BRAZIL
Not for the faint‑hearted, this journey invites you to step deep into the untouched jungle. A daring blend of adventure and wonder, I love this itinerary because it immerses the traveler in the raw heart of the Amazon and Pantanal — a place where nature reveals itself in its most powerful and unforgettable form.

Rural Ecuador and Galapagos
ECUADOR
A rare quest is to truly understand another people’s culture and spirit. To achieve this, one must step off the beaten path. I loved designing this trip because it challenged me to follow what is in my heart: to present a country in its most unpolished form and reveal the true nature of Ecuador, without sacrificing the highest level of comfort.
A TRAVEL DESIGNER'S DIARY

Join me on a journey of language and culture in Salvador, Bahia. This city of vibrant colors and rich history provides an immersive backdrop for learning Portuguese. My month-long study experience here has been enriched by the lively streets, welcoming locals, and unique cultural blend. Beyond the classroom, Salvador’s historic districts and beautiful beaches offer countless opportunities for real-world practice and exploration. Coupled with a sustainable development project on the nearby island of Tinharé, this stay has been both educational and deeply rewarding.
While we face several challenges in promoting sustainable tourism in Nicaragua, the opportunities are equally compelling. By addressing infrastructure limitations, investing in awareness, and fostering community-based tourism, we can pave the way for a sustainable tourism model that protects our natural and cultural heritage. The future of sustainable tourism in Nicaragua lies in the careful balance of development and conservation, ensuring that the country remains a beautiful and vibrant destination for generations to come. As a travel designer, I am excited to be part of this journey and to help shape a sustainable future for tourism in Nicaragua.
Community-based tourism is crucial in our price-based economy as it assigns monetary value to nature, culture, and personal interactions, ensuring their protection and appreciation. This form of tourism empowers local communities, supports wildlife conservation, preserves cultural heritage, enhances environmental awareness, and encourages sustainable practices. Real-world examples, such as the Bribri in Costa Rica and villages around Panama city, demonstrate its positive impact. By choosing community-based tourism, travelers help create a sustainable and equitable world that values and protects the intrinsic worth of life and nature.

WHY CHOOSE ME
ABOUT CHIARA
I’m an Italian who, many years ago, sold her soul to Latin America. What started as a study abroad experience became a lifelong love story with this continent — its people, its colors, its rhythm.
I first moved to Santiago de Chile to study at the University of Chile and later completed a Master’s in Environmental Economics at Uppsala University in Sweden. My background led me to work briefly with the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC). But sitting behind a desk, analyzing data, I realized something: I didn’t want to study life — I wanted to live it.
So I made a bold choice. I left what could have been a secure, prestigious career to follow a different path — one that allowed me to stay close to the land, the people, and the stories that make Latin America so special. I chose tourism, but not the kind that rushes through places. The kind that respects, connects, and gives back — sustainable and responsible travel.
Ten years later, I have no regrets. I’ve crossed deserts and jungles, mountains and islands, from Patagonia to the Caribbean, always meeting wonderful people who share the same love and respect for their home. Together, we design journeys that bring travelers closer to the soul of each destination — experiences that change how we see the world.
